Post Doctoral Scholar

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at New Mexico State University invites applications for the position of a Postdoctoral research scholar, Position # 710258, (Req # 501465). This position is available in the Baker Bioanalysis Lab. The position will develop microfluidic instrumentation and assays for the biochemical characterization of brain slice cultures by fluorescence microscopy, separation science, and related bioanalytical techniques. Successful candidates should have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: ex vivo tissue culture, fluorescence microscopy, microfluidics/microfabrication, biosensor development, or relates areas of bioanalytical chemistry. Candidates should have a strong record of peer reviewed publications and show potential for securing extramural funding at the postdoctoral level. Position is contingent upon external funds.
