The Jackson Laboratory (JAX), one of the world'sleading nonprofit biomedical research organizations, is at the forefront of genetic and genomic research. We seek candidates with creative ideas, an integrative perspective, novel technologies in their experimental approaches, and a collaborative spirit to address important problems in human health and disease.

Professional Qualifications 

  • Candidates with Ph.D., M.D., or DVM. degree, and relevant postdoctoral training will be considered. 
  • Demonstrated potential to develop a strong externally funded research program. 
  • Candidates for the Associate and Full Professor ranks must have a distinguished record of published research, demonstrating significant impact on the profession, and success at securing funding to support research programs. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and collaboration is essential. 
  • Prior successes in and desire to contribute to team projects on an ongoing basis is required. 
  • Experience presenting at conferences and workshops. 
  • Strong track record of peer-reviewed publication in reputable scientific journals. 
  • Successful record of mentoring and/or teaching.

Associate Professor: $152,195 - $209,267

Full Professor: $172,348 - $301,609
